A worker tossing out the trash, found the remains of three dogs dismembered and piled inside this dumpster behind Banner Mattress at Alexis and Douglas Roads, officials said.

A cruelty investigator is calling it one of the worst abuse cases he's ever seen.

Whoever dumped the dogs, skinned their bodies from head to tail, sliced their necks, and cut off their paws.

Investigators know the dogs weren't killed for their hides, because a bag of fur was also tossed in this dumpster.

Animal Cruelty Investigator Gene Boros told NBC 24, "I went back to the office and told my partner this is probably the worst thing I've ever seen. I couldn't imagine somebody doing that to a dog, let alone anything living and I was disgusted."

The manager of Banner Mattress on Alexis where the dogs were found added, "I'm an animal lover myself. It's difficult to express my feelings on it other than it's just a shame."

Banner Mattress managers want to send a message to whoever did this:

They are setting up security cameras to keep them from coming back.
