St. Johns area man arrested for murder is also believed to have been involved in drug dealing and dog fighting, according to authorities.
Portland police arrested 28-year-old Leon James Scott after 49-year-old James Kenneth Miller was found shot to death near North Midway Avenue and North Columbia Boulevard earlier in February.
Detectives said they found evidence of drug trafficking and dog-fighting after serving a warrant at the suspect’s home. Investigators also seized six pit bulls.
A Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted Scott for murder, drug possession and delivery, and one count of dog fighting.
