Little Rock police say they have arrested four juveniles in connection with a series of break-ins and animal killings at the city shelter.
Police say the four broke into the shelter on four separate occasions and stabbed at least one of the dogs with a sword. Now, there are locks on the animal cages.
Sgt. Terry Hastings of the Little Rock police tells News 4 Arkansas that inspectors have not yet established a motive. "We are investigating at this moment. There may be other arrests, but…we think it all centers around these juveniles."
Breaking and entering is a felony, and police say the four could be charged as adults. References- The Arkansas Democrat Gazette - 3/15/2003 - "Mutilated dogs lead to arrest of 3 youths"
