Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

Police are searching for the suspects accused of robbing a house and killing an elderly dog who had been inside.

"They bashed its skull in and broke its spine. The trauma was so intense his eyes popped out. It was a very brutal hit that this baby took," Animal Heartline of El Paso director Jessie Miller said.

The owner had been on vacation, and when those left to care for the dog entered the house Jan 29 morning, they made a gruesome discovery.

Miller is in talks with the El Paso Police Department to ensure abused animals end up in a safe haven.

"Instead of going to animal control, abused animals will be turned over to Jessie's organization. She will provide care and veterinary services and safekeep that animal until a decision is made in the judicial area," Chief of Police Richard Wiles said.
