A German Shepard has no leg after a severe gunshot wound by a high-powered rifle.

"The dog's doing good and recovering real well. He lost a lot of blood, but fortunately he made it through everything and we think he's going to be allright," Pet Guardian Shelter employee Frank Tinico said.

The Pet Guardian Angel, a non-profit, non-kill shelter is dedicated to adopting out dogs that are often abused or neglected
