more information on voting
When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.
Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "Peoples Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isnt enough.

Dog suffocated to death in plastic bag Brisbane, QLD (AU)Incident Date: Friday, Oct 13, 2006
Disposition: Convicted
Defendant/Suspect: woman
A Brisbane woman, 71, has been fined $2500 for causing the death of a dog she had placed in a bag and dumped in a wheelie bin.
The woman pleaded guilty in Brisbane Court to an animal cruelty charge.
She was charged by the RSPCA after she put the dog in a sealed plastic bag which was then dumped in a wheelie bin on October 13, 2006.
RSPCA Queensland spokesman Michael Beatty said the dog and a larger dog had strayed on to the woman's yard and she suspected them of killing two of her birds.
Mr Beatty said the woman chased the larger dog away and caught the smaller animal and put it into a garbage bag.
The woman told RSPCA officers she thought there would be sufficient air to sustain the dog until the city council arrived to collect it from her bin.
However, the woman failed to call the council until after hours and autopsy results revealed the dog had died through lack of oxygen.
RSPCA senior inspector Kyle Chaplin said the animal's death was "sad and totally unnecessary".
"The dog obviously died slowly and traumatically," he said.
"However, there's another message here for all dog owners: Do not allow your dogs to roam." References
