more information on voting
When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.
Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "Peoples Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isnt enough.

Dog strangled and drowned Mt Isa, QLD (AU)Incident Date: Thursday, Nov 30, 2006
Disposition: Convicted
Defendant/Suspect: Kevin Stanley Greenaway
A 30-year-old unemployed man has been convicted on animal cruelty charges after he attacked a puppy in Mt Isa in December of 2006.
Kevin Stanley Greenaway told police he was so drunk he does not remember beating the female bull terrier cross pup and throwing it to the ground. The Mount Isa Magistrates Court court heard a witness describe how Greenaway gouged at the dog's eyes before attempting to strangle and drown the animal.
A veterinarian gave evidence, saying the puppy received a broken right paw, internal bleeding, a bloated abdomen and cuts to the head.
Greenaway pleaded guilty.
Magistrate Bevan Manthey sentenced him to six months in jail with a non-parole period of one month.
Greenaway has to pay the vet's bills for the pup's treatment and is banned from owning a pet for five years. References
