more information on voting

When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.

Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "People’s Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isn’t enough.

A 40-year-old man punched his girlfriend's 10-pound shih tzu in the face more than half a dozen times, breaking the dog's jaw in front of his neighbor and her 5-year-old son, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Edward Greiner was charged Jan 11 with cruelty to animals for the Dec. 29 attack on Seymour outside of his home in the Smith Farms development off Lantana Road just east of Florida's Turnpike.

The neighbor told deputies she saw the dog urinate on Greiner as he carried the animal out of the house.

Seymour ran across the street on Great Oaks Drive as Greiner shouted, "Kill that dog," according to the sheriff's office arrest report.

About 20 minutes later, the neighbor said she saw Greiner catch Seymour and punch him six to eight times in the face.

Seymour's jaw required surgery. Greiner had told investigators the dog ran into a wall or a rock.
