Oklahoma City police said they are investigating after a 4-month-old puppy was shot.
Kathleen Tesch said the puppy was shot as the result of a two-year feud with her neighbors that began when she shot their pit bull dog. The puppy's shooting was in retaliation, she insisted. Tesch said that when the family heard gunshots Sunday, they feared that one of their cats had been shot, but on the other side of the fence lay Emy, who was shot in the chest.
"She picked it up and said, 'I told you to keep my dogs off my property,'" she said. The dog hit Tesch on the side of the face and fell to the ground, still alive. She died by the time the family reached the veterinarian's office.
The family would like charges to be filed against the neighbor for assault and battery and animal cruelty. Police said they are investigating. References « More cases in Oklahoma County, OK
