Syracuse police, answering a disturbance call at 221 Grace St. early Dec 18, used a Taser to break up a fight among three pit bull dogs, police reported.
The resident of the home, Tameika Whipple, 24, told police her ex-boyfriend had earlier put her neighbor's pit bull in her basement with his dogs. Officers opened the basement door to see three dogs biting each other. There were large amounts of blood shed from their wounds, according to the report.
The officers hollered at the dogs, then squirted pepper spray on them, to little effect, they said. They then used a Taser to disable the most aggressive dog, and the other two fled. The basement appeared to have been set up for dog fighting, according to the report.
Police were unable to locate the ex-boyfriend, Rashaad Sheppard, 22, whose address was listed as 117 Malcolm St. References« NY State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Onondaga County, NY
