Dog shot to death during attempted robbery

Police in Charlotte are looking for a man who shot and killed a dog during a attempted robbery in south Charlotte overnight.

It happened around 2a.m. Nov 29 at a home on Murrayhill Road.

Police say the man broke into the home and was startled by two dogs.

Authorites say that's when the would-be robber shot and killed one of the dogs and ran away.

No one else inside the home was hurt.

No arrest has been made.
