Hybla Valley area, Fordson Rd., 7200 block, 7:30 p.m. March 7. Animal control was called about a noise in a dumpster. By the time an officer arrived, a person had jumped into the dumpster and pulled out a trash bag containing a female pit bull puppy, a bag of dog food and a dog dish. The puppy was in shock and the advanced stages of hypothermia. It recovered and was put in foster care. Anyone with information about the dog or its owner is asked to call animal control at 703-266-6490.
