While on the TV show Survivor, The Australian Outback, contestant Michael Skupin chased down a pig, stabbed it to death and rubbed its blood on his face. He then went onto say "I feel better about my position now that I've made this kill". The footage of the show does not show Skulpin killing the pig but it does show hm holding a bloody knife and then footage of the dead pig. The pig dies and suffered for entertainment purposes masquerading as hunting and gathering. All for TV ratings.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals have viewed the raw footage of the show. No charges were filed against Skulpin because it is doubtful that he would be extradited to Australia for murdering the pig.
