A Crescent Creek Apartment resident told police that two bicycle riding teens attacked his dog and then him Sept 5 afternoon.
Patrolman Brock Jones was sent to the complex at 4:59 to investigate an assault. When Jones arrived, he saw Edwin Don Vessels, 41, being treated by medical personnel for facial injuries, according to the report. A neighbor told Jones that Vessels was attacked by two males 17-18 years old and that they were riding bikes.
Jones went to the emergency room, and Vessels was at first uncooperative, according to police. Vessels then disclosed that the suspects broke one of his dog's legs. He said he heard the dog yelp, and when he went outside, the teens jumped him, the report stated. Neighborhood MapFor more information about the Interactive Animal Cruelty Maps, see the map notes.
